Science Dissemination

Spreading a culture of scientific dissemination and communication

“There are times when science can seem to lose its connection to society and its needs, and sometimes its objectives are not fully understood, even if they are well intended. The lack of a common language and rapid progress in many areas of research has increased the public’s concern or contributed to ambivalence about the role that science and technology play in everyday life. But science cannot work in isolation, and advances in science and technology are not an objective in their own right”.

Science should be democratic and inclusive, and for pursuing these guiding values, it is essential to help all citizens to acquire the necessary knowledge about science. It allows active and responsible participation in science-informed decision-making and knowledge-based innovation.

AIRCampus

AIRCampus since 2017 Knowledge, innovation, passion, just cause, future: some of the values that guide the work of AIRC researchers, who are constantly engaged in the laboratories of our country. The same principles inspire AIRCampus, the project with which AIRC meets students of Italian universities: together, for the future of research.

"Research enters into student classes"

For the dissemination of scientific culture the Department of Biology offers a communication and description in an easy-to-understand form of research activities and recent discoveries in the various fields of Biology to counteract disinformation, the circulation of sensational news and fake news, capable of spreading in real time, and perceived by public opinion as full-blown truths.

The goal of these meetings for the dissemination of scientific culture is to open a window on the world of research and involve not only University students but also younger students to increase the perception of the importance of science.
